Have bought Christmas Cards, Wrapping Paper and Christmas Pudding, but that's all as I am trying to avoid the sales. :beer:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. got cards from next clearance ( 20p a box - shop price was3.99  and to think I used to pay this) I have a box left over from this year anyway, plus I bought 2 boxes in sainsburys as well. Must stop now! bought gift tags too.
Ive got a couple of bits in the sales, but not enough. Im trying really hard not to overspend now - as I can see myself going a bit mad! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...

I've got some wrapping paper and I bought a few toiletry sets in Boots sale for half price. They're more birthday presents than Xmas presents though. Haven't really been for a look to the sales this year, trying not to spend too much and got an essay to do. Once that's out the way I can treat myself to a LOOK around the shops.

I buy paper, cards, crackers etc in the sales every year, and so have done it again this hyear. I was looking in the sales for stuff for pressies (not Xmas, I can't even *think* about those yet!) for things like MOther's day etc, but didn't really see anything.
I usually go and buy myself a load of stuff in the sales, that I didn't get for Xmas, and I've done the same again this year, only I've stuck to what I actually wanted, AND managesd to get it all out of money received for Xmas, so haven't actually spent much of my own money at all!

Got new xmas tree and lights half price in tesco, also bought cards , paper , gift bags, bottle boxes reduced in asda.
Got some gift sets from boots for birthdays through year half price - was going to wait longer but they were selling quickly in my local boots and didn't want to miss out.
Also picked up a luxury xmas pud with 2009 date on it. Lastly cake decorations, ribbons and boards etc reduced to 10p at asda from over £2 each.Plan to make some xmas cakes as gifts next year:D.
Have already made a list of everyone I need to buy for during year and for xmas and aim to have it all bought over year well before xmas.
