You need to look at the complete service, you may find it much cheaper to buy dollars at a small kiosk somewhere but then how do you get those dollars to your supplier in China? Do you trust their processes to be able to give you proof that it did get received by the supplier if they turn round and say they never got the monies?

Your high street banks off the shelves rates are rarely the best and you need to be dealing with a lot of 0s for them to consider negotiating over rates.

also you need to make sure your supplier completes the paperwork correctly or it will cost you.

the last supply i got from my china supplier cost me an extra £200+vat this end all because my supplier had on the documents 60 boxes when their was 62 boxes, so i had to pay a duty along with a fine for mis declaration.
