Hi, I am owed lots of money from my bank around 2 grand!! the thing is how deep will they look at my bank statements, you see the thing is I am claiming income support but I am having a friends wages go into my account (cos his accoutn is !!!!!!ed) he helps me pay bills now and then and draws his money out ....will I get done for fraud or something like that? I am only helping a friend and can't see why that would really be a problem but if it goes to court what would happen???

Your situation is something you need to take advice on for the benefits/wages issue.
When claiming against the bank, you are the one requesting and looking at the information to claim. The bank will only provide these for you, they won't necessarily 'look into' your bank statements any more than they'd normally monitor your account.0 -
if it ever comes to anything you can prove that those wages arent yours can't you? your "friends" company will note that they get paid to your accounts from your friends job.
However if theyre being paid in hand (i.e it cant be proved its them and not you that is earning that money) I'd be very careful!
Though the bank wont care, when it comes to court you never know whos there!0 -
Sorry I am bit of a thickie! don't completely understand what you mean, I know how much they owe me so all UI will be doing is asking for money back! what I was wondering was whether anything would happen if it went to court, would they need to look through my account?0

I agree. Nothing to do with them what monies you have paid in. Even if you won the lottery tomorrow night.
