Have you been there??? Do you recommend it or you have just seen it advertised???

Yes, Its a very big site, mostly dutch and danish clientel.Entertainment is more suited to young children. Brilliant private beach.2 pool complexes (which close for siesta).Good restuarant ,pizza place and a pub.
The village of Ca Savio has several other restuarants, as does Punta Sabionni (where you get the vaparetto to Venice)

If family is older ,nearby Marina de Venezia or Union Lido may be more suitable.
Lido Jesolo is 20 minutes on the bus.

I don't know if it's any help but if you are really stuck, I have an apartment in Spain you can rent if you wish.
It has 2 bedrooms and right my the Mar Menor sea (very safe for children). It's on a quiet complex with swimming pools, gym, spa, jacuzzi and children's play area.
PM if you are interested but don't worry if it doesn't take your fancy, holidays are a very personal thing. My neighbour stayed there with her 3 young children and by all accounts had a fantastic time.
