Hi everyone
Thanks for that arcon will do that next.
Been on phone and got nowhere sent more letters to halifax and to the company and to visa recorded delivery so here is hoping. will let you all know i am determined to get them to admit to this chargeback thing though because it is really annoying me that the bank staff are turning people away or saying that it is not apply to visa electron when it clearly does . i just dont think they can be bothered with the paper work to be honest!! Well we will see!!! kind regards cher1:)0 -

In September I hope.
If not, you may be considered a little cheeky asking for a response in seven days.
If you have followed their complaints procedure, and Halifax haven't responded in over four months, then it is perhaps time to move on to the Financial Ombudsman.0 -

Hi Wealdroam
No i sent it in February, the part was paid for last year in july so this has been going on now for 9 months.
A guy called Medi rang me a few weeks after the letter and we discussed the situation and he said he refunded the money last july and i said no he didnt cause i have the bank statement to prove that no money went in from japautos any time last year.
He said i was lying so i emailed him the statement. Still said he refunded it i am going nuts. He then told me the account he had credited and gave me a card no he had refunded it to, so i checked and told him it wasnt that card number that we used to pay for the goods and he said it was the card i ordered it with and we just argued they are a nightmare.
thinking of going down there next and deal with them face to face i have had enough of this they are thieving lying toerags.
I cant report the halifax or visa to the ombudsman because it wasnt my card used to pay for the item.
Bit of a nightmare reallly!0 -

But the cardholder can.
What was Halifax's and Visa's response to your friend's letters? The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0
