I have just moved into a new house and the previous owner left the Sky dish but no box. A friend has given me a Sky box to try out for freesat but I was wondering if it was possible to connect both the Sky box and my existing freeview box to the same tv so I can still watch the channels that aren't available on freesat?

Yes, just connect each box to a different scart socket on the TV. Or, if you don't have two scart sockets use a scart switch box.Charlie0

If you've got two scart inputs on your TV, you should be able to do that with no problems.
If you don't, you'll need a scart switch box (look in maplins)0 -
Shouldn't be a problem, just connect them in series via scart leads, and loop the terrestrial aerial via the boxes to the TV.
