clearing selective urls from firefox address bad dropdown history

Anyone know how to delete selectively from the drop down list of urls that appears when you start typing a url in firefox 5?

tried highlighting the ones in question and using DEL, SHIFT DEL, and CTRL DEL, they go, but as soon as you bring that dropdown back, they are there again.

I dont want to erase ALL of them, just certain ones, as there are far to many in my dropdown now.
[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.

The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that

Not joy for me with that for some reason, seems to work for many though.
