Hi everyone
We have decided to just go for it and get married on Nov 25th this year (hoping to confirm the date with the venue at the weekend).
Very exciting but very scary also! There is alot to do
My main reason for posting here is to get help with photographers really. They are sooo expensive. I would like some nice professional photo's, but I am hoping to get them for around £500-£600. Do you think its possible? We are in Surrey. Everyone seems to be around £1500. We don't want a pre-wedding shoot either and would just like the images on a disk/usb.
The other thing is food...any ideas for money saving here but still offering a nice hot meal or buffet? Even the buffet menu's are like £20 per person!
Thanks for any help you can offer. I'm sure it won't be the last questions over the next few months!!

once you have confirmed your date start ringing around - remember to ask for a discount as you will be filling otherwise unbooked time during the down season
use anything else that you can to haggle with
on the food side talk to local colleges and universities see if there is anyone who would be willing to do it for cost price in exchange for photos and a reccomendationThe only people I have to answer to are my beautiful babies aged 8 and 50 -
I planned my wedding in three weeks, so don't worry, you've got ages

I posted on Facebook and Twitter looking for photographers that would come for just a few hours, I didn't want prints or an album etc. and explained I was on a very tight budget. I also rang round a few stating the same. I ended up getting an amazing deal on my wedding photographer. Think happy & you'll be happy
I :heart2: my doggies

Hi Matthew advertising your own company is no allowed on this site.
Feanor, when I was considering getting a photographer I googled wedding photographers on google maps to get a list of local ones. I then just sent them an email explaining what I wanted (maximum of 1hr30 mins of their time, and full images on a disc for me to use as I wished) and asked for their best price. For this (in Lincolnshire) I was getting quotes around £200-£250. But none of those who replied had this as an option on their price lists, so I would definitely recommend getting in touch with them.
Have you considered either enlisting the help of your friends/family or doing a hot buffet yourself?0 -

Our cheapest package starts from £700.00 but if you do not require a pre-wedding shoot then we would be able to take your wedding photos for £600.00. If you are interested take a look at our website or you can contact me on here.

Thanks Matthew, I will have a look at your website.

Thank you!
And no problem at all. We haven't had the photographs through yet, but there are examples of his work on his website. As soon as ours come through, I can email/PM you a couple if you like - just let me know.
