Ford Anglia 1966 Beige/Grey & White *** STOLEN ***

Please help me find my beloved Ford Anglia. It was taken from a garage in Wokingham, Berkshire and I am desperate to get it back. It is a beautiful 1966 beige/grey with white roof and red interior Anglia (reg OJH 480D, chassis no. BB22FY20641, approx mileage 37,000) and I love it.
I need to spread the word to as many car enthusiasts, restorers, resprayers and breakers as possible in the hope that someone has seen my car.
Someone must know something, must have seen it, worked on it or maybe even seen it for sale - please help!
I would just like to get the car back as it means so much to me.

Thank you for reading,

Sandra

Pictures?.....date of theft?.....did they trailer it or drive it away? Is that your private garage or a commercial garage who were doing work on it?

    Something like this then

Assuming it's still in this country and isn't currently in a shipping container heading to a rich collector in a far off land.

Head on over to www.pistonheads.co.uk and report it stolen, lots of enthusiasts frequent those forums.

Sandra - I will pass this onto the members of the Barkham and District Classic Car Club, if that's ok with you - 85+ members all from the Wokingham area.

  • Thank you to everyone who responded to my original post.

There is still no sign of it - I can't believe something as distinct as that can just disappear. I posted it up on the forums suggested and umpteen others but still nothing.

To respond to the trailer, garage, when? question - yes, it would have been taken away on a low-loader (battery was flat), the garage was rented from the local council and, as I don't live nearby, it went sometime before the beginning of August but I can't be exact.

I only hope someone has tucked it away and loves it (not as much as me, of course). I can't bear to think of it disappearing off into the sunset in a container or being split into bits. Maybe one day, it will resurface.

If anyone has any ideas, I would be very grateful (so far I've scoured ebay, put notices on classic car forums, been to car shows, leaflet dropped, you name it ...).

ps. I would post some images but, as a new user, I am not allowed. There are some on passionford.com, 105speed.com and others.

Never stop looking, Lots of classic cars can turn up years later. Read one a while back a morris minor
had been missing for 6 or 7 years.

Suddenly he spotted one for sale and went to look and noticed some holes he had drilled to fit something.

Called police and it was his car.

I hope you get it back, but with the price of scrap the way it is it may well have been shredded! A mate of mine lost a Volvo P1800ES he was rebuilding. A neighbour got the Reg No of the thieves but by the time the police traced them the car had been shredded.
