Just wanted to leave a post about how impressed i was with Currys.

Bought a TomTom One on Boxing day online seeing as Currys were the cheapest with a discount code... it arrived within 2 days...i was very impressed.

Anyway, as i get older i'm feeling like i'm loosing touch with technology (i'm only 23, and things like SatNav are starting to confuse me a bit... i used to be a self taught whizz at all things technified!!) A friend told me to download a speed camera database (i've only just passed my test 4 weeks ago, and although i genuinely dont speed, i often drift off into my own little world and creep a mile or two over 30 sometimes...6 points in 2 years=no licence=me never driving again because i cant go through a driving test ever again!) He sent me all the stuff and i downloaded it to the TT... all was working fine.

Then i load the TomTom home software onto my work CD and download all the updates it prompted me to...went outside work for for dinner with the intention to have a play with the warning sounds etc, and the whole thing had froze. Went onto the pocketGPS forums and followed advice... reset it about a zillion times and tried backups to no avail. It was clearly !!!!!!ed and constantly stuck on the first memory card error screen. By now was panicking i'd messed up the warranty by putting unofficial TomTom software on it.

Husband thought he'd chance taking it to Currys to see if they could have a look at it...anyway i thought he'd come back saying that we've screwed it up by putting the speed cam stuff on.... Wrong! They didn't even ask any questions and swopped it for a brand new one (he even had a receipt with MY name on, and they didn't question him about that either)

Im convinced it was the TomTom HOME software the messed it up, so im steering clear of that now if i can help it! My new one works fine and got me to work this morning with plenty of beeps to save me staring at the speedo for the whole journey)

And i've come out of this LOVING Curry's!

Thats a first! I have only ever heard about how BAD currys are! No one i know will shop there, cos they know if product faulty, curry's aren't interested! Nice to hear they have done something right for once!

i bought a dishwasher from currys and after a month the on button stopped working, phoned them up and within 2 days they delivered another one to my door and took the old one away, no trying to wriggle out of it by fixing the first one, just a straight swop and as they hadnt got the original one in stock they sent me a whirlpool which was a better make than my indesit and was a hundred pounds more than my previous machine, EXCELLENT.

i bought a tom tom from currys online with a discount code as well for my oh for xmas, after a few days the screen froze:mad: took it back to currys and they gave me a replacement no questions asked :T :j well done currys!
