1920's bridesmaid dresses??

Hey all,
I'm getting married in July of next year. I think I may have been born in the wrong decade as I've always loved everything to do with the 1920's!
Sooooo....... I'm having an Art Deco inspired wedding. Not a theme as such, as I don't want it to look like a fancy dress party.
I'm really struggling with bridesmaids dresses though. I'm looking for something a little different to what all of the stores seem to stock (is it just me, or do a lot of shops just stock 20 variations of the same dress??). Ideally I want it to be electric blue.
Does anyone have any idea of any designers or websites where I might find something?
Thanks in advance
Laura xx

starting point for ideas, would be what does your own dress look like?
for ease, i think i would be more inclined to go for 1920s hair, rather than dress styling. have you considered finding a style you like and then getting them made to your colour scheme?
sorta keeping with art-deco angular styling

edging towards 1930s, but still in keeping?

and with companies like landy, you can have any colour choice you want

PS I've actually found a sketch in google images of what is the perfect dress in my head (I don't know how to attach a saved file?), but I'm a bit worried that I'm maybe looking at it in terms of the types of dresses I'd like to wear for myself, rather than what suits my BM's which makes me nervous of getting it made in case it's not nice on them.
My BM's range from 13 - 33, and a 4'11" size 6 to a 5'10" size 16 and everything in between!

I would be tempted to go for sort of 1920s style by having tiered dresses... for example my friend wore this as a wedding guest at Christmas and it was stunning. I wore a very similar one but from tesco a few years back to a 1920s hen do in November, and felt dressed up without being fancy dress, definitely more comfortable, and I had loads of compliments. Here (hopefully) is a picture of it on another hen do 2 years ago.First date 10.2.2002

I meant to reply to you on the July thread but must have totally forgotten!
I spotted these in Monsoon the other day, I know it's white but could possibly be dyed, I don't know much about that sort of thing. I thought it could work for the 20's theme though. http://www.monsoon.co.uk/invt/85331841
Coast seem to have a few in bright blue but nothing partic 20's.
Debenhams - probably too dark but in the sale! http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10001_10001_54488+S1A6100_-1?breadcrumb=Home~Women~Dresses
A couple of maybe's from DP's?

A bit flapperish maybe?

Hi
I am also having an Art Deco wedding, or at least my take on it anyway (!) so feel free to PM me with any ideas questions which I (might!) be able to help with.
I am only having one child bridesmaid now but I have got my dress from Monsoon, but have also seen quite a few at various vintage fairs around so that might be worth a look.

so definitely going for grecian deco styling then
i really like the monsoon dress linked above, but dont think they would suit the larger ladies in your entourage
when you have differing ages and sizes, i really find that not having them wearing the same dress works best. as long as the colours are identical, or at least accent matched, then you can really get away with quite varied styles
i know you say that bridal shops tend to have the same base dress with varying trims, but going with your BMs and seeing what suits their body shape is a good starting point. it also gives them the chance to say which parts of their body they arent happy on showing, and what styles they are comfortable wearing
if you found a sketch on google images, then you should be able to link to the main page, so we can see where you are heading
