Literally where to start?

Hello,

I had a loan and a credit card with HSBC I am pretty sure I had ppi but dont have the paperwork. I sent a letter off to hsbc asking for copies of the T+C's but what came back didnt really outline what I was looking for. They sent me copies of my loan afreements? I really want to put my claim in asap as I think one of them will run out soon- How can I find out if I am owed PPI?
I am thinking of just using a ppi company although I am really not keen on it.

I do have an 'Insurance Sales Acknowledgement slip' and 'commercial card insurance policy summary' but neither have account numbers etc on them... I am really stuck but I know I am owed money,

Please advise me, Shall I try ringing hsbc and just asking them straight out?

Hello There,

I would ring them and ask them as they should be able to tell you. Just a word of warning, they may start the complaint over the phone so be prepared

Once you have had a read though and have your reasons. You will need to fill in a consumer complaints questionnaire. Which I would download, have a read though and familiarise yourself with the questionnaire and its layout. The questionnaire can be found here

the main info you will need to complete the questionnaire is:

1. Loan account number/numbers OR CC account number/ numbers
2. start date
3. finish date
4. and your reasons

then complete the form and send it off. If you ring your bank or CC company they may have a ppi complaint line and can start your complaint for you over the phone but id get as much info ready before phoning them.

I managed to get two policy numbers for PPI but thats all they could give me. Is this all I need? I tried my old business account too- but they said they dont sell anything like that and when I tld them I am sure they did they said they couldnt help over the phone I had to go in branch, hmm.....?

Are my policy numbers enough to start compants/

Hi there, all you need are the account numbers,they will find the ppi from those.
With the business account go into the bank and they will help you with info.

Hello,

So on my PPI form I only need account numbers? When they gave me the policy numbers they wouldnt tell me which one was which- does that matter when I fill out the form?

Hi there

If you know you were mis sold on the both accounts, and especially for the same reasons, there is no harm in writing both account numbers on the same form, it's up to you if you want to make a reclaim separately though.

Thank you so much! I really dont know ANY other details, I can barely remember my date of birth at the best of times lol, on the form it says where was I when I took it out, where was I working etc, Is it going to go against me if I keep ticking, I DONT REMEMBER?

I dont know any details as I cant remember dates of these things... arrghh- this is driving me mad and I havent started yet lol

Do you have a HSBC bank local to you?

If so then I would call in and they will or should be able to help with finding the details you require.;)

I do, but im a bit embarrassed to go in and I had an accident a while ago so am not very mobile so its hard for me to get about in to town so rarely go... any ideas?

Sorry to hear that, I would then email the CEO (chief Executive officer) dept and explain of the mobility which is the reason why you are emailing for the details.;)
