Hello, my name is Ste, I have been driving for 4 years but have always had company vans and cars, this year i have got my own car and my insurance is very very high!. Im nearly 29 years old and because the last company i worked for went into liquidation have no means of finding out who insured us! Is there any way i can prove, or any insurance companies that will take my 4 years no claim discount into account rather than me having to start again from scratch!
Any help would be appreciated

Ask the insurance if they will accept your last 4 years of P11D forms as proof?0

unfortunately ive never had p11d forms, and i feel im in a really difficult situation at the moment, do you think the motor insurance database would hold information that i have driven claim free for 4 years?0

Unlikely, with any of my previous company cars i was never registered to the car as such, just covered by the company policy as I was employed with them and over x years of age.
You could maybe try asking them if your p60 would count as proof, as you'll have a K or at least low tax code, I'm sure hmrc used to send me a letter every year detailing why my code was K25 or whatever it was and my car benefit was listed there0
