Wii connectoins to TV

I have the Wii connected to our Lounge TV via a cable with the 5 (I think) bought it to go with a HD TV coloured ends. Now considering moving it to another TV with only the 3 connectors as per the original connection (which I have mis-placed :o). Can I use the better one, just matching the colours and leaving the others not connected. Will it work?

Thanks DG

    Yup!
The Wii only needs the White,Red and Yellow connections for video and sound.

I think they meant they bought a component cable (RGB) to use on the HD TV (can get the Wii up to 720p) but have lost the composite cable which the Wii originally came with.

donny-gal - If this is the case then you'll need to get another composite cable I'm afraid.

What does your current cable look like?
