Tastecard Bookings 2 People?

Hi there

I've just taken up the free month trial of Tastecard but notice many of the deals state they are only available to bookings of two people. As we are a family of four (2 children) I was wondering if I could use my TC to book a table for four people, but only redeem the 2-1 or 50% deal against two of the people's meals (e.g. myself and my OH's food) while paying full price for the other two (e.g. my kids' meals)?

Anybody done this/asked/been refused permission?

should be easy enough just ask for two sep bills

i must be lucky as our fav eating places allow upto 8 people and one allows 12 on same card
If you dont like me remember its mind over matter, I dont mind and you dont matter ;)
  • Dont know about taste, as we have only ever used it for the specified number of people, but I have used numerous groupons, wherby there is only two of us using the voucher, and the third person is just paying the extra.
I tell them this when I ring to book, and there's never been a problem.
I'm sure it's the same for taste.
There are lots of restaurants on Taste though that are for four,- just use the filters to narrow down your preferences on the website to see what's available.

I'm sure you could use the 2 for 1 deal for 2 out of the 4 people.

However, I suspect those 2 people would be the kids, as their food would cost less. Worth asking the restaurant before making a booking, I think!

It depends on the actual offer... look the restaurant up on the website. 50% off or 2 for 1 ... its one or the other.... the number of people are also specified. If not the 2 cheapest would be the discounted. HTH

I've used a taste card on a booking for four where the stated max was 2 - so we got one of the four meals free. Ring and ask if they'd apply the deal only to the adult meals if you pay for the kids - if not, take your business elsewhere.
