Check your Tesco home delivery receipts!

We had our groceries from Tesco delivered yesterday. I read this thread 10 minutes ago and thought I'd check our receipt and it also is incorrect by 90p in Tescos favour.
It might only be 90p but it increases their coffers nicely if done to all those home deliveries on a daily basis.0 -
Finally got a reply - after explaining very slowly to 2 different people who really did not understand a 3rd person called last night & claimed to have manually added up my receipt and agreed I had been overcharged by £2.50, they had no idea how this has happened and suggested it was an instore one off problem - I did say that I only checked after reading on a forum as someone else had a problem & was concerned it could be a big problem accross the whole of tesco, afterall who would bother to add up individual items, he tried to assure me that with the number of transactions they complete in a day it could not possibly be a problem. I was sent some e-vouchers off my next shop £15 so I have left it at that ..... for now!0

Not again! Sending an email this time rather than phoning! Less than £1 this time but it's such bad practice. Think it's time I swapped to Asda! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Sorry Lyndy, had Asda last weekend after feeling fed up with Tesco & had the same issue, dug out the only other previous receipt in my shredding pile from August last year & found the sub total of items on both did not match my adding up - currently awaiting a 3rd response as they dont appear to understand my query & keep telling me I have not been overcharged.
Waitrose were impressive however website quite slow, may have to try Sainsbury next or, gasp go to the shops myself .....0 -
Thanks for letting us know about Asda MelJ. I really don't want to have to start going to the shops again!!!This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Just a wee update on this. After my last email I had £10 refunded to my account (I told them I didn't want an e-voucher as I had no intention of shopping online with them again). I thought I would carry on with trying to get an answer about why this was happening. Apparently customer service can't answer this and the store need to phone me. I've been told no less than 4 times (since I started the thread) that the store has been asked to get in touch urgently but I've still heard nothing. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Is the mis-sum always in Tesco's favour - if so I think we can all guess how this can happen!

Thank you for this post. I honestly didn't think it was possible & thought I'd just check our Asda delivery note just in case. Found out we were overcharged by £3.50! I am guessing we were charged twice for delivery! The customer service did try & argue with me about it until he himself noticed I was right. Am going back & checking all our other delivery notes now. Unbelievable, at least we know where a lot of their profits are coming from (apart from their prices rising).Grocery Challenge: January: /£2140
