Free Bulk Emailer?

Hi there,
I'd like to send out an email to my clients but without just doing a BCC and typing 'Dear Client.' I'd like to address each individually but without having to copy and paste the same email hundreds of times. If I create an Excel spreadsheet is there a bulk emailer (that most importantly is free!) to help make this a less of soul-destroying copy and paste exercise?
Many thanks!

could you not just set up a distribution list from your contacts?
Then use mail merge0 -
I urge you not to do it. It is VERY easy to get blacklisted as spam if you aren't managing your lists absolutely perfectly, especially with home/domestic connections. And you need to manage your mailing list opt-outs, etc too. With home-mailed bulk email, usually under 40% makes it through to your clients, the rest getting junked as spam along the way. If you use a whitelisted service (iContact or constantcontact, for instance), it's more like 95% as the servers are trusted to be non-spam.0

I'm not quite sure how to do this but I'll have a Google!0 -
Mailchimp.com which is free and dead easy to use.
I set up email lists (generally people I have met who wish to remain in contact), I then create a template (all done via easy instructions on Mailchimp) then I say that I want that template to be sent to whatever list I have created and it goes..I can even schedule when it goes out. Mailchimp provide an opt out option as standard and lets me know when people have opted out, I also know what proportion of the emails are opened.0 -
