Hate bagless, as hate cleaning them out! I like Mieles, never found the dysons very good myself. Obviously in terms of moneysaving you do save money on not having to buy bags, but I hate all the mucky cleaning. Never again!

I agree Dyson was hopeless. Now have a Meile Cat & Dog as we have a herd of cats. Its BRILLIENT
Actually, although the Dyson and other bagless cleaners don't have bags, you do have to buy filters, which in my experience is more expensive than buying bags
As a cheapskate , I do empty my meile bag and reuse a couple of times, until the suction goes because the dust has built up in the fabric

My DC02 was naff but my new Dyson (8 I think, pets one) is really good, got it on offer in B&Q was half price as they made a mistake. So much better than the 02. Filters are better, or at least seem to be, just got to be careful if the carpets not fitted right or I get close to the rug as it'll try to eat it!

Vax Rapide has about £50 off I think in Tescos at the minute they aren't bad my sister had one.

Always had problems with hoovers with bags, bags splitting etc on me :( so gave up on them.

In fact my partner told Mr Dyson his cleaners were naff when we had the DC02, he actually didn't realise who he was at first :rotfl:
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb

I have a Miele Cat and Dog ( but don't have pets!:rotfl: ) and it's brilliant! Would suck the floorboards up if they weren't securely held in place:D It's quiet, robust and works. The bags are really easy to change and very capacious! Can't speak highly enough of it. CMx

  • I've got an Elextrolux upright bagless hoover (cost about £50 in Comet) and wouldn't go back to bagged. Just preference I guess!

I do have asthma, but I use a dust mask when unloading the gunk. Personally, I think anyone who has asthma should have one or two dust masks lying around for household work... before I discovered stardrops and soda crystals, I would use one when cleaning out the oven with that awful oven cleaner stuff. I still use bleach with a dust mask!

Also, comparing my bagged £50 hoover to the bagless for the same price, the bagless definitely gets more dust up, so that's probably better for my lungs in the long run.
