Hi Everyone,
I've been looking at these forums for a while now but have just decided to post.
December lasyt year I bought 2 tickets to the IOM Bay festival for me and my OH. It was later cancelled and I was told that the organiseres would refund everybody by 29th July 2011. That day has been and gone and I have seen no money.
I bought the tickets throught HMV and have been in touch with them countless times and I've been told to be patient but I'm fed up of waiting
Sorry for babbling on, but if anyone could help me i'd be very grateful
Thanks x

How did you pay. If you paid via Credit card or a Visa debit card do a section 75 claim.

I paid by Visa debit so I'm gonna get in touch with mny bank to try and claim it back.
It's just been such a pain trying to get it back considering how long ago it was supposed to take place. Plus me and the OH booked a mini trip away next month expecting to use the refund to pay for the hotel but by the looks of it we'll have to cancel

As you bought the tickets from HMV, does that not mean your contract is with them and not the festival organisers, so they should give you refund?0

From what I have read, HMV are the agents and therefore it might not be quite as simple. In my opinion though, they should held jointly liable. As you bought the tickets from HMV, does that not mean your contract is with them and not the festival organisers, so they should give you refund? The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0
