I have just taken out house insurance for a house that I own and my parents live in,there is no rent involved but our insures say that I need a tenancy agreement,is there any where I can get a free one as I don't feel like buying one because feel there is no need.

Is insurance "Landlord's" insurance (I presume it is..)..
If they are living there rent free (and assuming this is in England..) tenancy can't be an AST so any "free" agreement would probably be not suitable..
Think you need specialist solicitor's advice: Beware, most solicitors whilst fine chaps are not experts in Landlord/Tenant - particularly not this oddity of an agreement..
Might I also suggest if you have gas have a gas safety check done?? If anything went wrong then without safety check you might feel very uncomfortable.. Also ensure electrics are safe for similar logic (no formal check required..).
