GAME shop bundled console games to return question

I purchased a Wii console just before Christmas and had to buy 2 games, these were charged at full price £39.99 each, I haven't opened one of them so want to return it.
I remember some people returned bundled XBOX 360 games last Christmas but can't remember how, so want a bit of advice on my rights etc.
Thanks in advance.

Hi - FYI I was in the same position at Game Aberdeen - I had no problem getting a refund on both games and keeping the Wii console only - as long as the receipt has individual entries for the console and each games you will be ok.Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.0

Varies on the branch - i've been informed we can only give a credit note because of the bundle, but again, think its down to the store.~*Cerenia*~

I'll pop in today and see what they say, the receipt has separate games in the list and priced separately so I'm hopeful!0

Game get on my nerves. I took a broke copy of guitar hero back once and they said it was scratched which was my fault (as if) and wouldnt exchange it. I took it to another branch, and they took it without any questions. Didnt even look at the receipt, cos I brought it back in a 'game' bag!
It all depends on who your seeing at your local game. If its some jobsworth then chances are they'll play it by the book. If you see someone who couldnt care less, then generally they're the best ones to go to!! sad but true. If its on the receipt as a stand alone purchase and hasnt been opened, I wouldnt have thought they are able to argue with you. Dont they have some returns policy at game anyway?
Even if you get a credit receipt, chances are you'll be buying again at game in the future so use that, and it'll seem like a 'free' game by the time you've forgoten about it all!!0 -
Just for info, Game will no longer exchange PC games unless it has the 'security' tag still on. When you buy the game the staff put a pink sticker where a normal security tag would be... if this is opened then they will not accept it.0

my brother had a problem with game he bought a controller but hen had one bought for his birthday a day or so later tried o take it back to game but they wouldn't take it back as it had been opened... my brother hadn't opened the box the woman in the shop had opened it to show him that it was all in there he was told if he had a problem he could return it... he was told they couldnt do anything as it was open so he had to phone head office and get them to sort it out he finally got a gift card for the cost of the controllerbe loyal, be loud, be cas, be proud

i also bought a wii bundle before xmas, one of the games wasnt played with and was still sealed,i took it back to game they said i can have a full refund minus the £5 that the bundle was reduced by,i did try to argue as on the reciept they were all listed seperatly,in the end i got full price but only if i bought something from the store...i bought another wii remote + nunchuck.better than an unused game i suppose.0

I remember reading quite a long thread in a different forum, linked from either here or Rpoints.
It was when all stores where exploiting customers by making them purchase, limited stock (consoles) in packages. All games where charged at retail, even though they don't sell at those prices. Alot of angry people who had reserved these consoles, weren't supplied with them, because these stores chose to make a bigger profit.
Anyway someone cottoned on to Games returns policy where any games can be returned within 28 days, as long as they are not opened. This way the received consoles which barely anyone else could get there hands on.
If anyone has any info on the Xbox 360 packages, I'd be grateful.
I ask this as some packages are actaully not much more than the premium package. I'm not sure what the games show as on receipt, or what their return value is.0
