Pimp My Tunnel Challenge
Hi all,
I've just acquired a 10' x 20' poly tunnel and erected it last night.
As I'm a total novice at gardening I thought it might be fun to ask for advice of how to get the best from a new tunnel, which might then provide an ongoing resource for every new user of poly tunnels/greenhouses.
I'm only interested in food production, be it fruit or veg just not flowers (unless they can also be eaten!).
So how should I start.... is it best to grow into the ground, or put in raised beds?
Should I have shelving in it? Is it best to put some form of irrigation into it? I'm happy to spend a little, but it'd be most useful to more people if we can get lots of tips in this thread to help people to do things for free/very cheaply.
What can I usefully plant now to get food food production under way asap and also to try to provide winter supplies too?
All ideas gratefully rec'd and I will be happy to produce and post photo's along the way.
Over to you guys/gals!!

I would plant some french bean seed, spuds, carrots all have been grown very easy in my tunnel. Do you have crop bars? if so you can do floating shelves with wood boards and rope.0

If by crop bars you mean metal tubing to support the hoops and fix them to each other then yes. I like the idea of floating shelves, thank you.If you feel my comments are helpful then I'd love it if you 'Thanked' me!
