I am about to open a mini ISA for shares and want t oinclude some that are listed on the London international market. Does anyone know where I can find out the rules for which shares I can and cannot put into my ISA? Thanks

You can put shares from any 'recognised' Stock Exchange into your ISA. A list of overseas stock exchanges can be found here
It basically includes all the main European and North American stock exchanges and would also include shares traded on the International retail service of the LSE
However, note that while it also includes shares traded on the main London Stock Exchange, the AIM market is not considered a recognised stock exchange for these purposes.
