Problems with Groupon

The other day I was interested in Groupon's deal, in which you buy a voucher for £39 and then you can purchase a flight with airfasttickets.co.uk for free, excluding taxes.
I emailed airfasttickets.co.uk to see how much the taxes would be on a flight I wanted, and was told to visit a link to work it out. It came to £150 for two, which was the best deal I could find anywhere, so I bought two Groupon vouchers.
When it came to booking the flight, the price had gone up to £250 for two.
I've emailed Groupon about this three times in the last week and have not had a reply.
Airfasttickets.co.uk have been even more incompetent - I bought different tickets in the end for £150 (at worse flight dates), and when I clicked on the link to get the tickets I got an error message. When I emailed them about it they said they would email me the tickets instead. When I received them (four days later) the details of my partner's name were wrong!
Any advice on what I can do re this? In particular in getting Groupon to talk to me (I've tried ringing but was permanently on hold).

What do you want Groupon to do? You've used the voucher to get the flights. The fact your name is wrong on the tickets is not anything to do with Groupon, neither is the tax that you have to pay on your ticket. If you hadn't used the voucher you could possibly have got the £39 back but now you've used it I really don't see what you expect them to do for you? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Groupon has a duty of care to its customers, even if the service it is providing to them is via a third party.
If a Groupon partner is defrauding its customers and is not doing anything about it (I have emailed airfasttickets.co.uk about the extra money and also received no response) then Groupon needs to disassociate itself from that partner and sort the PR problem out - particularly as the relationship with third parties is what the Groupon model is based on.
And at the very least, Groupon should be replying to one of my emails, to say sorry, but it's the other company's fault, not theirs!0 -
i have had one groupon deal and wasn't happy when money came off from Groupon and the company the voucher was for.
I emailed groupon but they never bothered to reply.

I dont think Groupon have done anything wrong here, to be fair.
Air prices go up all the time, if there was a groupon deal, then there would have been extremely high demand, just like say ryanair, the 1p flights do not last long, sounds like same thing happened.....?
I agree, if you hadnt used the voucher you would have got your money back, but you have booked now. (and if your partner's name is wrong, is that not your own input?)0
