We got the TGV, super fast - only 10 mins to the gates of disney, only 1 stop, and reasonably priced. You can then go straight to Disney (there is somewhere to check in your luggage I think) or pop on a free shuttle bus to your hotel. You can look at times/costs on https://www.raileurope.co.uk.
BUT, don't book in advance. Many of the seats are non-refundable, and if your flight is delayed (or even early) you will need to get a different train. Station (gare) is at terminal 2F and is easy to walk to from any of the terminal 2 buildings. The people in the ticket office speak perfect English, and will help you buy your ticket and advise times etc.
  • thanks for that. we are stopping at the Disney Hotel. I'll take a look.

Just interested in this post as we have done the journey form CDG about 6 times now. We normally get the metro from the airport, change at Chatelet les Halles then get the other line out to Marne la vallee. When we first went we were staying in Esbly and we got a different train, but I still recall going into Gare du Nord first. Whichever way you go, I seem to remember about half an hour into paris on the metro then either 20 mins to esbly, or the same half an hour into Paris then about 30 mins into Marne la Vallee. Notredam's post seems to suggest we have been missing a trick ! is there a quicker way ??? If so, would love to know as planning to go again.

Incidentally friends of ours have also done a pre-planned taxi and it did not work out that expensive. We can't do taxi as the kids chuck up.
  • HI again

yes can you just hop on the train when you reach the airport?
also with 7 of us 2 under 4 can we get a big taxi?

i looked up the trains Notredame & it seemed to work out at 22 euros pre adult & kids free but for pre booked tickets do you know if we can just turn up?

We used the VEA bus. Bus stop right outside our terminal (CDG 2) cheap and cheerful without hassle right to Disney! Very regular timings! On the way back we got it straight from our hotel door!

Many thanks for this Notredam, this will save tons of time and hassle. It must be one of the best kept secrets about getting to disney - 11 minutes !!!!

Can I just ask that Marne La Vallee Chessy is the big station just by Disney's gates (I always thought this was too big a station for just the local to paris train - this explains it !) it is not some other station ?

We've just come back from disneyland paris and planned on getting the vea shuttle once we got there. 16 euros an adult 13 euros a child under 3? i think!!!
Anyway as we made our way out of the airport to catch the bus there were loads of big taxis offering to do the ride for the same price as the bus, this worked out great for us. the taxi driver arranged with us to pick us up on our departure day and it all went very smooth so you'll prob find the same thing. There were 7 of us plus 1 infant!!
    have a great trip!!!

    Sorry for delay in replying.

Yes. The station at Disneyland Paris is called Marne La vallee Chessy.
We did not pre book our tickets - just walked to the station at terminal 2C, bought the tickets and hopped on the next train. If you pre book your tickets and your flight is delayed or something, you may not get a refund, or at least not in full. It's easy enough to buy your tickets when you get there.
