How Long To Change Tax Credits To New Bank?

Hi all,
I'm being messed around by my bank at the moment, and am considering moving my tax credit payments over to another bank so that they don't keep getting eaten by charges.
I'm not sure what date they are 'paid' but they usually arrive in the bank on the Sunday night. If I were to call the tax credits people in the morning, do you think there is a decent chance that the payment would be changed over by the payment that arrives in the bank on the 14th?
If anyone has recent experience of swapping banks with tax credits I'd really appreciate an idea of how long it took...
