Hi Desperate Dan,
I hadn't replied earlier as I have only one voucher for myself but no spares, however, if no-one else has a voucher for you, I can let you have mine and I'll get a replacement for it next time I'm passing the Scotsman HQ as they sell back issues for up to a month.
Is it just one voucher you need? (One voucher is valid for up to 4 passengers per return journey. 2 vouchers will be needed for more than 4, up to a maximum of 8 passengers.)
Let me know on this thread if you would like my voucher and then we can arrange where to send it.
BTW here's a direct link to the rail booking page: www.eastcoast.co.uk/thescotsman0 -
it's just the 1 voucher i need.
thanks for the offer
am i able to e-mail my details to you?
not sure how to do this without it being public?
thanks

Hey Dan,
You wait ages for a rail offer then two come along at once ...
Looks like the Mirror is running a similar offer. Book between Sat 13th Aug and Sat 27th Aug; travel between 3rd Sept and 20th Oct.

i know it's a long shot but does anyone have a spare (two ideally but i don't want to be greedy) thanks for reading (fingers crossed!) xx

Hi Littlejaffa,
There's another East Coast voucher in today's Mirror, if that's any help? It doesn't mention if they'll be printing them all week or not.0 -

thanks so much - i'm new to this offer so am i right in thinking if i get this paper just once, i'll get some magical (as yet unspecified) saving on my train? it's not a multiple voucher collection thing?
i've a few big journeys coming up so this would be a great help, thanks so much :j:jDon’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.

^^ It's not a multi-token collect. If you buy today's Mirror you'll get a voucher which is valid for a return journey for up to 4 people.
The savings vary depending on where you're going.
You need to book online at: http://www.eastcoast.co.uk/dailymirror
Hope you find some good fares!

Hi there. Does anyone know whether it's one voucher per ticket, or one voucher per group? I've just booked four tickets and have one voucher from Saturday's Mirror. When I phoned East Coast to double check, they told me that I'd need one voucher for each passenger, however this seems to contradict what they've printed on the T's & C's on their website.
I'm panicking now as I was told by East Coast customer service that if I don't have four vouchers with me when I travel, then the tickets without vouchers won't be valid!! Anyone out there know whether this is correct or not?
Many thanks,
Adam0 -
Hi Adam,
I'm panicking as well now, after telling people that one voucher is valid for 4 passengers! I hope the East Coast rep has got it wrong and it is one voucher per group.
Just to be absolutely clear - you did book for all 4 passengers in one transaction? It wasn't 4 separate transactions?
It does say, twice, on the Mirror website that "You can book up to four people per transaction and you will need one Travel Voucher (printed in the Daily Mirror) to validate your ticket....
...One Travel Voucher can be used for one return journey for up to four people travelling together."

Hopefully someone else will be along to confirm if it's one voucher per group but, in the meantime, it might be an idea to print out the page from the Mirror website so you can take it with you to show to the ticket inspector.
Or, run out and buy 3 more Mirrors - I think there's another voucher in today's edition. You shouldn't have to do this, of course, but it might be worth it for peace of mind.
Thanks for alerting us to this discrepancy - we'll be on our guard!0
