Hi I currenlty have a Pre-N range router, which gies me a nice and long signal. It has started playing up so i need to replace it with one of at least the same signal strenght or better. Has anyone got a chart which shows what range belkin routers have? or do you know which one should i consider? Thank you
Thank you

Bought a D-link DIR855 router a few months ago which has great range and has not dropped off since I bought it. Very fast and backward compatible. Worth the extra money from the rubbish I had for 2 years (spent hours messing around each week sorting it out) Very easy to set up and works first time out of the box 5 out of 5 for this router0

thank you
do you know how the range compares to the belkin one? i need to get through 2-3 solid walls and 50m outside?

anyone knows which belkin router has the best range?

belkin routers aren't up to much, better with D-Link, Netgear. Why hung up on belkin ???......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

Maybe work your way through Broadband Buyer's Router Finder Tool? What you want may cost more than you think!0

If what you have maintains a signal through 3 solid walls then a further 50m outside I'd suggest you just buy a new one of those.0

To be honest in my experience the wireless "range" of a router is more to do with environment, receiver and local interference than the router itself. Legally I think, in the UK routers should not exceed 100mW output power and I think all routers would be around this figure.
I myself use a Netgear DG834 v5. I can recieve a signal with my laptop in the neighbour's house across the road (60m). However I would guess that almost any router positioned similarly on the same channel would work too.
If you are at the limit of the range I would suggest you select a router with external antennae. If the signal turns out to be marginal you can attach a higher gain antenna.0 -
yeah, either a high-gain aerial or a wireless access point used as a range extender. In fact a wap would be better as you could position it for optimum performance where you need it
