    Start by getting into the same position as a dog would stand and then lower your arms so you are resting on your elbows with your bottom in the air - works wonders and was suggested by the hospital after I had a laperoscopy (they will you with air/gas on purpose - evil people!! :D )

    After my OH got his appendix out he said he was in agony. A nurse moved him to his side and moved his knees up. OH says he gave out a huge fart and the pain went. :D He said he'd no idea trapped wind could be so painful!
