Manual install?

Hello All,

I recently sold an old laptop on eBay that was in good working condition despite its age.

The buyer doesn't seem to know *that* much about computers so I've helped her along the way with some stuff.

When she is trying to install Kodak Easyshare in from CD she has the following problem:
the run installation program box comes up and says unable to find the installation program and
asks me to find it manually.

I've never experienced this problem and trying to solve it remotely is quite difficult for me!

Can anyone help?

Awww, well done for being super helpful with post-sales :D

Can she browse the CD-Rom (commonly D:/ ) drive to see if there's anything blatently called install.exe on the CD? I'm presuming, again, remotely, it is managing the autoplay of the CD but can't find what it's meant to install after that...?

  • thanks cookie, that will help with her installing it but I can't think for the life of me why it wouldn't auto-install.

she also mentioned that other discs weren't installing either.

    • Choose the AutoPlay tab, and choose the desired action for each type of CD. For example, choose Music CD, then click Select an action to perform, make sure it's set to Run the CD's
