Is anyone having a problem with NTL email

I was contacted by a friend to say he had never had an email off me since May was everything OK, He was an NTLworld.com and I am Orange/wonado/freeserve Etc Etc. It seems that I can receive e mails from NTL, But when I send them they are never received by the recipiant and this has been going on for months and NTL cant sort it.

We have had no problems at all that we know of, sending or receiving.

Is it just your emails that he can't receive? If so, then one of your or his settings are wrong. NTL (Virgin) is my main email addres and I have no problems sending or receiving.

My Brother in Law had the same problem. He gets his mail via Outlook so he phoned Virgin who explained that they were changing the settings on the old NTL accounts to bring them in line with Virgin. They hooked up to his computer remotely and changed the settings for him and it works okay now. Maybe it's worth making another phone call to them.

I sent an email to all my contacts to ask if they would send me a test reply if they received it OK and got them back Ok - All but NTLWORLD.COM recipiants they dont seem to get them, everyone else replied. Yet they send them to me OK ?

No it seems to be all my ntlworld contacts that dont get my emails, everyone else AOL, hotmail etc no problem

I dont recieve any emails on my ntlworld address anymore using thunderbird. I have to log on to their website to view them (which also seems to be down quite a lot when trying to log in)

When VM changed to webmail one of the defaults was to have the spam filter on and isolate emails.

If you download your email these will get missed.

You have to go into the webmail interface and do some changes on each email account to stop the spam filter.

I forget the actual change but google wlll find the details

hs may not be the issue but if not using the webmail interface worth checking.
