Bought tent, now it's in the sale - can i return it and buy again?

Last week we bought a tent for 190, and this it's now been announced that they have a sale on and are selling the same tent for 130.

Is it within my right to take the tent back, get the refund and then re-buy the tent, or be refunded the difference? We are still within the 28 days return as we only got it last week! lol

It depends on the shops returns policy - many shops no dont allow returns for change of minds like what your suggesting. does the shop have a 28 day return for change of minds? You could always ask the shop what their return policy is or if they will do it as a gesture of goodwill.

well the shop is Go outdoors and they have a sale on every other week on, so I can't image that i'm the first person this has happened to. Their returns policy online says that you are free to return any items unused for a period of 30days afterwards. And that circumstances will dictate whether a full refund or an exchange is appropriate. But that's it really? Doesn't say much else.

from the returns policy you should be okay but internet returns are different from store retuns - try phoning go outdoors and ask them if you can - They probably know their own returns policy better than i or any other poster does.

Yes you can, however you need to check if the item is in stock so you can just purchase another rather than the same one. You are allowed to rebuy the same one but the store is also allowed to refuse to sell you an item so if they don't like it they may make things difficult for you.
