Direct Debits Coming Out On The Same Day?

Hi, I have a barclays current account plus, can i go into the branch and ask them to make all my direct debits come out on the same date just after pay day ?
So then i know where i am each month ?

You should go to the individual companies, not to the bank0

Only your standing orders can be arranged with your bank to come out on the same day.
You need to contact each direct debit originator to change the collecting date.
If that is too much hassle, why not open another bank account, arrange for the surplus to be transferred across each month and just leave the original account alone with the monies required to pay your bills each month. Use the new account with the surplus money in it for you to use for other things eg shopping, spending, etc0 -
ok, thanks for the advise i have a savings account set up with barclays that i can access both online, will the bank calculate the surplus or do i have to do that ?

OP always give a bit of leeway about dd dates, go for say
3 or 4 days after yuor pay day just in case there is ever a problem.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
I have recently done this but the payments can go out a day or two earlier than the dat e I put dependant on when the payment dates falls, ie weekend/bank holidays etc. So would agree with McKneff, make it a few days after payday to be on the safe sideSept GC - £13.19/£150
