It's just a big long term isn't it?

Sometime a kneejerk reaction is better.

stop the same idiots from breeding more idiots. It needs to be controlled.

We had a discussion at work today. What would have happened if this started in Manhattan....just an example of another large area in the US.

They would have been shot. They would have feared being shot, so it simply wouldn't happen.

All we need is fear of their actions. Doesn't have to be the fear of being shot and I'm not suggesting that, but something, anything to stop girls being interviewed ont he 6pm news from Birmingham saying "we'll do this until we gain some respect innit, police don't respect us innit, when we get respect we'll stop like".....then being left, after admission to taking part, to walk away and giggle with their little gang.

Respect she deserved is being slapped to the ground by the interviewer, but in the girls world, she seemed to think she deserved to be awarded for her behaviour. !!!!!!!?

What kind of mindset have we, as a country, instilled in these people to make them believe they deserve some kind of special respect?

dirty filth need to be taught a lesson

You seriously cannot expect their human rights to be breached, that would go against the grain of protecting the wrongdoer that is apparently the norm now in the UK :mad:

Op you're saying if we cut off everyone's benefits it will stop it immediately
What is it you want to stop ?
    The war in Iraq ?
    Drunk driving ?
    Smoking in the street ?
Maybe your upset about some religious group ?
You're going to have to make the meaning of your thread clearer.
I thought for a moment you may have been talking about the rioters on the streets
but many of them are only children not getting benefits, so it can't be that.
Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

This kind of nonsense isn't welcome at the moment.

    The point is quite clear.

I've just seen one of your "it's not their fault" type on the TV. Sickening.

Will be interesting to see what the fall out is from this, my personal feeling is it may lead to support for more 'tradtional tory' polices.

Think people are generally more falling into the hang-em-high camp than the guardianistas 'society is at fault' camp.

Maybe the removal or limitation of housing benefit in London would be an idea - it seems crazy to concentrate so many that obviously don't give a *** in high value areas of the country, while people that play the game have to pay a fortune to commute.

Cutting off the benefits seems an attractive idea, but won't that lead to more low level crime - muggings etc?

How about turning them into petfood, to be distributed free of charge to needy pensioners?

    Cut off their hands too.
