Wasn't it said on the news there have been over a hundred people arrested?
I'd cut off their benefits.
What punishment would you give them?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

Well seems some of them were simply drinking their looted wine at 9.30 this morning, patting themselves on the back for the fun they had.
I actually found this sound clip pretty shocking. I am lost for words as to what goes through the minds of these people. They see business owners as "rich" who should be targetted for being said rich. They blame the conservatives, but don't know what for, just the conservatives innit. I doubt they know anything about the conservatives.
I'm just lost for words at the following sound clip:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-14458424
And yes, they probably are on benefits considering they have been up all night and started the morning drinking their stolen goods.
Hopefully the police / government will be able to use some kind of force. Otherwise I feel these criminals will face their own justice from the public...which will mean a downward spiral. I hope these people face more than just a fine, which they won't pay.0 -

Cutting off the benefits seems an attractive idea, but won't that lead to more low level crime - muggings etc?
How about turning them into petfood, to be distributed free of charge to needy pensioners?0 -
