Of course but the first link talks about spam/false emails whereas on the second they talk about Fossy and point you at this www.videolan.org
Which on their site points to www.videolan.org which is the true site for videolan (VLC) or at least it does as I write , however don't click on the link I have posted because unless you take note , and your browser is set to show it in the status bar you will end up where ?

So basically just an trojan sent via a link in email. This is a case where common sense can still protect someone from getting an infection.
It'd be more worrisome if it was a drive by download, like fake Adobe Flash updates.0
