    Have you read post #18?
Can you run a full malwarebytes scan?
Run autoruns and accept changes - http://download.cnet.com/Autoruns/3000-2094_4-10744886.html
Delete ccleaner manually from c/prog files and then run a reg cleaner like regseeker.

I have downloaded cc 3.09 portable, and saved in a file, to run from there, but still left with version 3.08 on pc.Do you want a full MB log?? EDIT Tried to find #18, all I get is adverts of blog. What is it??

Post no. 18 in this thread refers to this thread - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2436849

Autoruns is not linked to malwarebytes - it's a programme that lets you stop unnecessary stuff from always running, all the time.
If you go to c/programme files just delete ccleaner in there - try the uninstall option if it's there first , but you should be able to r/click and delete it.

" I can run full malwarebytes " - well have you , did it find anything ?

I think Spakkker means instead Startuplite, (rather than Autoruns) http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/startuplite

I've no concern that the CCleaner problem is a virus, others have had the same issue with the new version. You may wish to ask about ask in the CCleaner forum how to fix that: http://forum.piriform.com/

Is your antivirus working properly now? or are you still getting warnings that it's not running? If so, you might:
    1. Download a copy of Avast to the desktop http://files.avast.com/iavs5x/setup_av_free.exe
    2. uninstall Avast
    3. use the aswCLEAR program to remove remnants http://files.avast.com/files/eng/aswclear.exe
    4. reinstall Avast using the file on the desktop

Err, yes , I do mean Startuplite - I used autoruns just yesterday and er .. well .. got mixed up ! Autoruns is same, but complicated.
I often recommend to use ccleaner/tools/startup and say to disable everything except antivirus but you were having ccleaner probs.
I use an older version of ccleaner which works for me so I've not changed it.

Hi, Russ. Done AV , all ok now. Security centre picks it up now. It picked up MSE which I downloaded as part of 13 windows updates, so guessed it may be av.Was going to do as you said, so that, sfine now.I had MSE on ages ago, guess what, it clashed with RAPPORT, so I changed to Avast. GOOD program.I,m just running full MB now, Got 3.09 portable and run it ok.Going to try revo once more to get 3.08 off, if not , I,lll leave it on, it,s doing no harm.I used some program ages ago for startup, from cnet, blowed if I canremember what it was.Yet to read 18,will do.Thanks for everything, once again, and to all others, much appreciated.I,ll come back about realtek, when/if they reply.Cheers:beer:
