Hi All
I'm posting up on behalf of my motehr who is in the process of trying to sell what was her parents house.
The estate agents charge 1.5% which is fine but can anyone give me a rough ball park figure of how much it might cost for the solicitors etc?
The house is valued at approx £285,000 if that makes any difference.
Any help very, very much appreciated!!
Thanks

Ask a few solicitors for quotes. It's the best way to find out and you could probably have made all the phone calls you'd need while waiting for a random reply on here.;):)0

You know you can negotiate estate agent %ages also.. we're paying 0.75% + VAT (£230k property)0

True, though I'm asking for my mum as she's at work and can't really make such calls easily, where as I can get on here.
I'll let her know though that that would be the best way.0
