The fact is it went to sealed bids and you will never really know what other offers were there and if you got a good deal. Presumably when you put you bid in you also made it clear that you were in a good position with a substantial deposit. Just because someone puts in a higher offer it doesn't mean it has to be accepted. You may well have offered less than someone else but been preferable because of your current situation. As it went to sealed bids so quickly I can only assume it's becasue they wanted it sold fast.
Are you happy with it?
Has the mortgage valuation come in around the same mark?
If you answer yes to those then you have paid the right amount.0
