Just go down the council with the kids and a few suit cases, and refuse to leave until they re home you..

OR go back home to your family!

Would your bloke do the decent thing and pay the deposit and first months rent on a joint tenancy somewhere and then 'leave' you once you were in and you could then claim housing benefit?

Where did you move from to be with him? Are your family still in that area. If they are you need to pack very thing that you own up. Rent a van for the day load it up with your things and either go to your local council or the one you came from.

Then sit there till they give you somewhere to go. Beware that your going to have to take the first pace they give you.

Your going to have to make it seem a lot worse and that you and your children are in danger. I know it sounds a bit extreme but all you need to say is that since splitting up he has started to become arrgessive that your still in his house and your worried in case he turns on the kids.

Not being funny, but you have an excuse for all the above advice we have given. If your that desperate, you would act on it!

  • It's not an easy thing to do but you may have to accept that you'll need to go into temporary accommodation or a hostel. I know someone who stayed at a Salvation Army hostel for a while (admittedly without children) but ultimately it was only a few days before they were found somewhere else to stay and helped them get back on their feet.

Also what sort of benefits are you on? I don't mean this in a negative way I am just interested to know if you've been helping to pay off his mortgage with your benefits.

My ex husband's new parter stayed in a refuge for about a month before she was offered private accommodation, the new accommodation was in the area she was staying (not where she had come from) so might be worth your while choosing your refuge carefully if given a choice.
