Any advise would be great.
I have just got a new tv and the tv has a fault with it.
It is only 7 days old and the company want to take it away to take a look at it.
Can thay do this or should i be able to just get it replaced.
Thanks
Stuart

Its up to them. You have a legal right to a repair or a replacement. Its up to the company which. Most companies will look at a repair in the first instance.'The More I know about people the Better I like my Dog'

Given the time scale you can outright reject for a refund (if that is what you want to do).Thinking critically since 1996....0

I agree with this.
Rejection is a bit of a, how long is a piece of string affair, and can depend on the item, but I do not believe a week is sufficient for a reasonable person (or judge) to consider acceptance has taken place with a TV.
The question then is what you do about it, assuming the retailer stands his ground and insists on repairing ? I fear the only option would be to threaten and if necessary go through with small claims court action."The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

Reject the tv and get a refund.
Then ask about any London Borough, I heard there is some cracking deals to be done.

Indeed they will. But any solution they propose mustn't inconvenience you. In today's world losing your telly for more than a day or two would probably be deemed an inconvenience - to some people it would be almost like death.
I'd ask for a replacement or refund."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
Looks like thats the way forward.
Thanks for all help.
