Thought Police?

Hi,
I asked some valid questions about bullionvault and had a couple of answers, the title was Gold Again.
Now I find the thread has gone and it is even missing from my profile.
Conspiracy theories anyone?

There were quite a few pointless gold threads created yesterday. A few seemed to serve no purpose other than to attempt to ramp up the value. The board normally deletes any thread on any investment which is seen to be an attempt at ramping.

  • No ramp from me, I'm not a member of bullion vault. I only asked how you leave them, there is nothing on their web site

OP, it is common on this site to find people who think they have rights. That isn't the case. This is a private site and the administrators have the right to remove anything without a reason. We're all here under sufferance but allowed to use the facilities.
  • Glyn,
Fair point odd though because it devalues the site.
If you can't ask a reasonable question, you have to ask why not?

I can only assume I accidentally hit a raw nerve and that this is the catch.

The site owners set the rules mate. We have to abide, whether we like it or not. Sometimes I see threads I'm involved in going the same way and I just accept that, in the eyes of the admin, somebody went too far and the thread was deleted. There is no right of appeal. That's just the way it is.

What's the Black Rat thing about btw? Traffic Cop or 4th Armoured?
  • Again you are right. It's their ball and it seems they've taken it home.

Don't feel like that mate. Some things are on a "need-to-know-basis" which you will be familiar with. All any poster has to do is remember that there are things which cannot be said. Think along the lines of section 5 of the Public Order Act but the criteria is much broader here.

I'm disappointed that you are traffic. :( Not because I don't like traffic but I thought you could have been an old mate from 4th Armd.
  • wonder how long this threads got
  • Well I found out the answer to my question.

There are no release charges and all you have to do is email them after selling all your gold and removing all your money. Beats me why they don't put that in the faq's.

So now it's much more interesting to me and I will probably sign up.

Now all I have to do is work out whether gold is a good investment given the price is at an all-time high.

    Thanks fornall the comments.
