I've been a biker for many years, I always swap my bikes for other bikes as I get bored easy.
Anyway, After many many years of getting cold and wet in the winter I decided to swap my bike for a nice car. About the same value etc as the bike. Car needed some work and is 11 years.
Anyway, THe person was going to send me the HPI report that was clear! he said but decided to see it when I see the car, the we meet and everythign seemed ok, forgot about the HPI report but he said he will post it.
three months later, I have a letter stating the car is still owing finance from Santander!
I've spoken to the guy who said the report he has doesnt state anything out standing (I don't think hes telling the truth now) Well he has said I can have my bike back.
WHat shall I do, I know i've been ripped off and I should have done my own HPI report which I normally do but I didnt and not im !!!!!!ed, looks like I could loose the car and be out of pocket £3000 unless he swaps the bike back with me!
any ideas on how I can resolve this or am just screwed like I think I am?
thanks

He's said you can have the bike back. Make sure it is still ok and swap back.
That or get him to pay off Santander.
