I'm a bit confused now as to what you're actually doing!
Are you giving blank CDs AND a digital camera per table?!0 -
no lol sorry thats my fast and very bad typing! I mean iwant to remind people to take photos - they might take them if the disposable was there, but may forget if its a digital camera in their bag?
Ive got the card envelopes on ebay 50, for £4 somthing so very pleased, ive got address lables ready to stick on them, just need to get the cds! Can i just get normal cds, they dont have to be CD-R do they, thoug hthat might be better?
Ive got a little poem for the tables asking them to get a disc etc, ive recently had somone on my FB list begging people to do it themselfs, atleast this way they have been given the cds and just have to upload and post! xAccept that some days you're the pigeon, and some days you're the statue. Ah - gotcha now. To be honest, I doubt they'll forget that they have a camera. If anything, the CDs will act as a reminder for them.
The digital ones are going to be 100 times better than the disposable ones.MandyMoo22 wrote: »Can i just get normal cds, they dont have to be CD-R do they, thoug hthat might be better?
What do you mean by "normal cds"?
CD-Rs will probably be the cheapest ones for you.MandyMoo22 wrote: »Ive got a little poem for the tables asking them to get a disc etc

I also love this idea, my frind is getting married next month and was not sure about gretting desposable cameras for the tables or not, I am going to suggest this to her, would you mind sharing the poem you have please?0

A bride on another forum has had problems with her disposable cameras from her wedding... paid extornionate amount to be developed and the pics are all grainy and very few you can see what the pic is of. She is very gutted as her photographer only covered up to the wedding breakfast so she has no pictures of the first dance, cake cutting, speeches etc.
I would always go for digital. It saves you printing all the pics, you can pick the ones you want to print!0 -
PhotosDisposable cameras are not the best, everyone knows digital are better than the rest!So we ask if you please, would you mind to send us these? We have provided blank discs which can be found near the wedding cake, please upload your pictures and send them back to us in the sleeve provided.Accept that some days you're the pigeon, and some days you're the statue. I got the envelopes:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230569902161&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT
as for the cds, i was going to buy 50 from ebay, for £6.26
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/50-CD-R-CDR-52X-BLANK-CD-DISCS-ARITA-RITEK-/120732001295?pt=UK_Computing_ComputerComponents_BlankCDsDVDs&hash=item1c1c30240f
But today i found 50 in Sainburys, for 5.99 reduced from £11.99!
I printed lables from work with our address on so they could post them back, i even stuck little stickers to the CDS which i got from ebay. I also cut up the box the envelopes arrived in so i can use it to display the cds in. Im going to stick a little poem to the front too.
I am over the moon with this idea, I am against disposable cameras because of some of the stories as above, and i worked out that the cheapest price for them was £2.95 - and i would need atleast 5 so that would be 14.75 then it would be approx £4 to develope each one that would total of £34.95!!
this way has cost me £10.38! not including the stickers on the cds, which was about £2!
