Moving house - I need cheapest place for big boxes
Comments

Bookshops throw boxes away all the time and they are big and strong - as books weigh very heavy. Not too big though - you want to be able to lift them comfortably. (Best boxes also have hand holds already cut out.)0

I re-iterate what other posters have said in that don't choose massive boxes as the tempatation is to overfill them.
My OH is a removal man and we generally don't charge for boxes as long as we get them back.
We source our boxes from a place in Brighouse called Bargain Boxes. They supply secondhand (often unused but printing on them inaccurate or whatever) decent sized double skined boxes for about 40p each.
If you are using a removal firm:
Ring round a few different companies to get and idea of price. Any company worth it's salt should be able to give to a rough estimate over the phone to allow you to compare. You can always request them to come out to see you to give you a more definite price.
Make sure you have compile a list of the main items to go not forgetting loft, cellar and garage) and roughly work out he number of boxes of stuff (e.g 3 boxes for kitchen items etc).
Also mention any items that you would like the movers to strip down (beds, wardrobes for example) and any issues with access such as narrow driveways, staircases and so on.
Good Luck with the move.Twins, twice the laughs, twice the fun, twice the mess!:j:j0
