Hi
If you write to the lender, they should provide these details in the post by request.
With one of mine (different lender/broker to yours) I wrote to the lender and not the broker and they provided the details of the insurance policy in the post within a week or so, you don't always received these documents when you received details of the account when it was sold to you.
Good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"

GMAC were a subprime lender thats business went through brokers. Contact the broker, not GMAC or the insurer.0

Hi there
Seems like I have mis read and I had assumed you were just specifically asking for the Underwriters/insurers details, but as other posts say above to make a reclaim you would pursue the broker. The one and only "Dizzy Di"

I don';t think you have misread Di. It was 2003 so before regulations so maybe another "can't touch me" type broker whereby FOS have suggested the insurer route. Not as though FOS are doing much on this side of things only gathering information!!!Hi there

Thanks, the FOS sent me a letter saying that they could not find who the underwriters are. Apparently (according to GMAC) I have to contact the dealership I purchased my car from and that GMAC were not covered by FOS or OFT for any policies took out before Jan 05 so I dont think I can make a claim really, or is this another fob off??0

No, as originally suspected GMAC dont sell direct. So you need you need to go to the people that arranged the finance and sold the PPI to you.0 -
Hi
Have you tried pursuing the dealer? The one and only "Dizzy Di"
