Helen, as Shovel Lad said, you have no control over how much you earn given an allotted time however, if you set yourself both target for number of hours AND amount you wish to earn i think you are more likely to say, go an extra half hour to get a little more towards your money target.

As long as you stick to your hourly target and don't worry too much if you don't meet your monetary target you should be fine.

I'm not sure if that makes sense, my body feels funny today i don't like it and i've spelt almost every word wrong.......

Shovel Lad...You're right...I don't have any control over who Calls me and how long they stay on for....but it DOES help me to have an idea how I'm doing to say "I'm going to earn this much"....If I don't hit that Target then that's okay....but I've already worked out my Hours for this Week and I hope I can get to my Cash Target as well....We'll just have to wait and see how the Week progresses and how busy it is....

I'm logging on half an hour early...Have had some sleep....And now am logging on....

I'm Working until 7pm...Am hoping for £50 but I realise that is a LOT to make during the day so I probably won't get to that amount...but it will be good to see if I can get close to it....

A bit tired but glad I've had some sleep....now off to Work...

It's not a target it's an aspiration - there's a difference.

Your target is the number of hours you intend to work.
Your aspiration is the amount of money you would like to earn having worked those hours.

I have an item for sale on fleabay at the moment.
I am hoping it will sell for £100, maybe more but it might not sell at all.
There's no benefit to me making plans based on getting £100 for it when I may get nothing.
I have no control over whether it will sell or how much for.
My target was to get it on fleabay this weekend because it is free listings. This I have achieved. Everything else is down to other people.

If you want to set a cash "target" that's fine but I really don't think it's helpful to have a "target" that is based on what other people will do.

That's true Shovel Lad.....I have absolutely ZERO control over who Calls me and how long they stay on for...So I CAN control the amount of hours that I do but can't control what I earn...I can just hope for the best....

So yes, the money I want to earn is an Aspiration rather than a Target....So yes, that's fair enough....

So this Afternoon I ASPIRE to get to £50 but I might only get to £25....But I DO know that I'm going to do Midday until 7pm...and whatever I earn in that time i shall just be grateful for...

There IS some wiggle room with regards to what I want this Week....so we shall just see how the Week progresses....The main thing is that I'm not leaving it all until the end of the Week....And that's the difference this Week....

Feeling okay so far this Afternoon.....A little tired but that's fine....Just got to carry on as I've started....

Hi Helen, you are doing great. I actually woke in the middle of the night and logged on via my i phone to see how you were doing, Yes, I am definitely stalking you !! :-)

Been out and about this morning. Still checking in via i phone but cannot post as I have to be logged onto my laptop to do this.

Hope you are not too tired. I am just hoping you are getting 'enough' sleep now!

Also, you emailed your boss about the texting work. Any update on that? Might add a few pounds over the week when the phones are quiet?

Was over in Forest Hill this morning. It is soooo hot. Forgot to take a drink and snack with me, but was very good, and have waited until I arrived home until I had anything to eat or drink. Didn't want to pay £££££ when I have a fridge full of stuff!

Hey Pesto Pasta hun....Aww bless you for checking up on me in the middle of the Night....that is soooooo sweet....and I love that you are stalking me....

I AM getting enough sleep...and I plan to have more than 3 or 4 hours sleep once I get to Sunday Evening....Because of my experience last night where I was getting 1 Call every half an hour I've decided NOT to work sunday evening from about 7pm until Midnight as it's just not worth it....So I'll get some sleep then....But I should manage about 4 hours a day...and actually, believe it or not, I feel better for NOT sleeping 8-10 hours a day which is what I WAS doing before I started Working properly.

Heard back from my Manager re the Texting...Just have to read through the Manual and then give her a Call (which I shall do tomorrow) to be set up....and then I can get started....So it seems pretty easy to do....And one of my Regulars has said he WILL text me so I know I'll at least have SOME money coming in from it...But I'm not going to add that into my earnings as it's VERY low earnings....so whatever I earn will just be extra to put towards a debt or something that needs paying...

I'm pleased to say that with the money I get from this Week's earnings I will be paying off TWO PayDay Loans....AND in 3 Payment's time I shall have paid off pesky Wonga as well....So things WILL become a little easier as things are paid off....But what I really want to do is start to pay off the really BIG Debts...start making some headway into them as well as my Smaller Debts....

So that's me...and I'm waffling again

This Afternoon seems busy on the Phones, long may it continue...I'm Working until 7pm...

I wish I could say that I knew what changed....but it's almost like a light switch has been flicked on and I can see clearly for the first time in a long time....

I AM going to do 117 hours this Week....Which is simply unheard of for me....and I'm going to feel so proud at the end of it regardless of what I've earned....

But, think of it like this - 2 Paydays ago I earned £61 in a Week....now I've already earned that in just 8 hours on the Phones in one Shift last night!! That just seems ridiculous to me....but it's going to feel good to start paying things off and to pay Rent EVERY Week and to pay other Debts...to pay Family and Friends off....it's going to feel GREAT....

Right...I've probably bored all your bits off now...LoL :rotfl: So I'll stop and carry on with my Day....

the good thing about the text chat thingy Helen I found was I could work it around when I was doing my calls - if it was quiet and I was waiting for a caller I could hammer out maybe 20 or 30 texts - ok it only made me about a quid for each block a time but I was adding to my income rather than logging off/ getting bored/ eating/ flicking the tv channels (delete as appropriate).

even if it makes 100 difference to your monthly earnings its got to be a good thing and when the text lines are busy they go mad, you don't have to stay logged on when a call comes thru to your texter cos the next person picks them up (whoops did I just give away the details of how it works)...:)

and yes you will feel better with some of the smaller debts paid off and get rid of Wonga fast as you can - that's next on my hit list as well
