flight refund through a visa card??

Hi there
My wife and her sister were due to head to Spain on Thursday. In the last few days my wife has been feeling unwell with soar ears & blurred vision and went to the doctor to get it checked out.
Unfortunately, he has advised against flying. Also, unfortunately, she has no travel insurance, but did make the booking by a visa credit card.
Is it possible to get a refund for this. She had booked a few nights at a hotel and the flight was with Easyjet.
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

Im starting to think some travel insurance companies are posting on here to highlight the stupidity of booking holidays without insurance, well that the only explanation i can come up with for people asking the same question over and over and over......Live each day like its your last because one day you'll be right0

Section 75 covers when someone fails to provide something you have bought, not when you decide you don't want it any more.
The plane is still operating with seats for them and the hotel still has a room waiting0 -

Section 75 covers if the supplier fails to supply the goods which isn't the case.
Was she intending travelling without travel insurance?????0 -
i am seriously thinking of buing £1000.00 of lottery tickets for next saturdays draw using my credit card. Then if (or more likely, when) i dont win, i am going to put a claim in under section 75, for failing to ensure a win.

Southerntrim, why no travel insurance? Consider your wife & sister lucky. They fell ill in the UK, and are therefore covered under the NHS. if they had fallen ill whilst in spain, and with NO INSURANCE (why oh why oh why do people not take insurance), you could have been looking at a whole more costlier experience!
