best place to buy a cheap monitor

i bought my laptop for £300 so its looking liek its not worth getting the screen replaced as it'll cost too much....so i'm thinking of just hooking it up ot a monitor...any ideas on where i can find the cheapest monitor?

Freecycle, there are always people giving away CRT monitors on there if your wanting an LCD then you should be looking at about £99 for a 17"
