Hi Guys
First post on this great forum so please be gentle.
I want to open a joint bank account with my partner, whereby the only mechanism of withdrawal, requires both our signatures, its not that i dont trust her, its just for both our protection. I have tried santander and BOS who do not offer any such account.
Could anyone here be kind enough to point me in the right direction? thanks

I don't think any mainstream bank will open this type of account these days.
They don't have the mechanism to check withdrawals.
Looks like sole accounts doesn't it?0 -
I'm pretty sure Natwest offered this option when we opened out joint account but we didn't go with it0

You might find a passbook account that will offer this, but I very much doubt that there are any card based accounts. The whole point of such card accounts is that only one person knows the pin number.0

Natwest definitely do a both to sign account. Open a normal joint account and ask for a joint account mandate.
You won't be able to have a debit card on the account though (as a debit card can only be used by one person, so can't be authorised by both as per the mandate). Cheques and direct debits only.0 -
Why create a financial connection when you don't need to.
The only real need for a joint finacnes usualy is mortgage most other things can be worked around.0
